It's our local provider of summer delights. Barra Castle Farm Shop opens on the first Monday in June and is very busy until the end of August when the supplies begin to dwindle.
The family are very friendly with the Mackie family of Mackie's Icecream.
A great combination and as well as selling fruit there's a delightful cafe area...indoors and out...and fabulous icecream, simply a mix of fresh fruit and icecream....
mixed to order for each customer!!!
I hadn't managed to get there last week though we did have strawberries which the butcher's shop has in when they're available.
Now if we could have some summer weather soon it would be delightful.
Three good things
1. My cosy soft scarf...I needed it today!!
2. Ice cream.....and strawberries and blackberries for supper.
3. Interesting television. Springwatch is wonderful! And interesting documentary on Margaret Thatcher.
