Flowers by the old gate by sarah19

Flowers by the old gate

Green Gate is one of the old town houses in the centre of our little town, and though it was quite a notable house in its day it is now needing a little TLC and maybe more! But the flowers in the town are still lovely and these caught my eye as we were heading to the fisherman's van parked at the old garage nearby.
Three good things
1. A LOT of gardening. Last year was very dry and growth was manageable. This year has been damp and warm and growth has been CRAZY!!
2. The garden waste collection on Saturday afternoon is great as the team are at the Academy from 1 - 4pm so we don't have to drive over to Inverurie.....6 bags full today and now I have filled 4 more!
3. Fish and chips for tea. I didn't even make batter, just fried the haddock in butter and Allan went to the local 'fish&chips' shop for our chips. 😊
Sorry I haven't been commenting very much. Life is a bit busy atm.
Lovely! Lunch sounds great!
