There are lots of flowers in the garden but not really varieties for cutting and bringing inside. So today I had to go shopping and treated myself. And had a garden centre stop too!
I will just enjoy them myself .....no friends visiting at the moment. I did some school learning but it was such a lovely day I kept going out to the garden.....hope everything I planted today grows well.
Three good things
1. No queue at the shops I went to this morning and everyone very friendly and helpful.
2. Clematis plants - Allan's request! When he worked at the NTS Pitmedden Garden he planted clematis seedlings and they are flourishing so he fancied some for a bare bit of fence between us and our neighbours.
3. Jasmine, Dianthus, Sweet Peas.....planted on the lower patio .....that should be perfect for sitting outdoors with a good book in the summer hols!!!
Oh my you are a wonderful gardener. Every plant you named is familiar to me, I have tried so many times to grow Sweet Peas, but the slugs just eat them up. I think I’ll talk to our garden center about them, they might have something I can put in the soil to repel the slugs. Your bouquet is lovely and I really love your vase. It appears to be iridescent blue hobnail. Just beautiful.
@louannwarren I have the sweet peas planted in a large pot so we'll see how they grow! Lots of things I have learned from what has gone wrong in past years!!!

Thank you for your lovely comments. I hadn't bought flowers since 6th of April so it was a real delight arranging them
And that vase is my favourite....
and cost all of £12!!!
Such sweet smelling flowers....you have been doing wonders in your garden today. I am ready fir a proper visit to the garden centre but not worth it this year. I popped in to get plants for the tubs but proper plants for the garden It’s not worth it.
