rose hips .....end of summer creeping in

Noticed these this morning when out for a run and stopped to take a photo on my phone. Quite a thought that we are at this stage in the year, but then the days are definitely shortening and curtains closed so soon.
Had a good day in the garden in wellies and waterproofs but it didn't really pour rain and I got lots done.
Three good things
1. All the garden debris away to the recycling centre.
2. Washing.......and tumble dryer for days like today.
3. More paint for the garden bench and a new plant pot.

Lovely. These always make me think about and remember Delrosa's Rose Hip Syrup we used to get as kids. I loved that juice!

Yes I too had enjoyed Delrosa Rose Hip Syrup 😊...certainly didn't taste like medicine.
And then there was the year when a national newspaper had a recipe for home made variety! That was not a pleasant experience 😄😄😄
