We had a graveside Service of Thanksgiving for Mum this afternoon.
Lots of family were able to attend in the open air, taking account of social distancing etc. It was lovely and we felt so grateful that she was able to be at home with us around her to the end of her earthly life. Now in heaven with her Lord and Saviour who she loved and enjoyed for such a long time.
Three fantastic things
1. Safe family travelling to be there.
2. Sunshine, space and singing in the fresh air. Sad but sweet.
3. Over 50 friends/relatives were able to join us on Zoom for the livestream of the service.
And 3 more!!
😊 neighbours and friends lined the route as we walked from home to cemetery. ...a mixture of smiles and tears.
😊 the florist did her work beautifully.
😊 2 hydrangeas for sons, 5 large pink roses for daughters, 22 pale pink gerberas for grandchildren and 7 mauve clematis for greatgrandchildren and baby rosebuds for another due in 2021
So much love!!💕💕
Your Day of Thanksgiving sounds beautiful and a perfect service for your Mum. The thoughtful, beautiful flowers, so dear. Prayers for you and your sweet family as you remember your dear Mum.
A sad but beautiful tribute to your mum. Keep hold of all those lovely memories. I love the idea of doing the flowers so each one represents a much loved family member.
OhhSallie it sounds a wonderful loving send off fir your mum. She was so well loved by her family & the town she lived in for so long...the end of an era for you all. Love the idea of all the different coloured flowers for each generation.
A great comfort to you all knowing she would be happy to claim her place in Heaven. Sending much love to you all. Xxx
