Walked and talked with a friend this afternoon and she hadn't been up this pathway before. She wanted a photo of Bennachie - you can just see it in my panorama photo.
Three good things
1. Slept late and Allan brought a cup of tea when he got back from the shops. We're living happily with just the butcher's shop and the papershop these days. Both have extra food items for sale, and today Mike the Fishman was back in the square with his van.
2. Long chat with Laura and Iain in Melbourne. We are all delighted that they are expecting their first baby in June.πππ.
3. A great walk and take away dinner from our local pub/restaurant....very satisfying but we missed the banter of Stewart who owns the place.
Super image, including the mountain and the people in the foreground. Like you, I live very happily with the local co-op and the delicatessen at the moment, with the occasional foray into the butcher's shop! We tried out a new carry-out at the weekend - in Aboyne - CC's kitchen. Really good - we had a Japanese katsu curry and sushi. A lovely change, and a lovely lady cooking from her own home. Only downside for me is the drive to Aboyne to get it! Not exactly essential travel, but it is supporting local!
Gorgeous view!
Like you, we also live very happily with a butcher's shop, a coop, a baker's shop and a post office only 3 kms from where we live. Not just around the corner, but we only visit them once or twice a week.
Happy news re Iain & Laura....they will be excited & happy.
Hope you will be able to visit in the not too distant future!
Itβs amazing how we manage locally...even more nervous these days going out if our little patch...we are so lucky having everything here in half a mile we could ever need. I quite like a foray into Garstang now & then....bigger choice & very safe at Booths.

Thank you for your lovely comments. Nice to feel that lots of people are making the most of local these days. ππ
