So...I had a lovely 'me day' in Inverness. Train journey that I love...I've been travelling this way since I was seventeen. Lunch at a favourite restaurant- plan B but so much nicer than shopping. A much needed haircut by Charlotte, a little burst of shopping in M&S and back to the station for my train home.
Three good things
1. Great views and familiar hills in the distance ...snow covered today.
2. Delicious smoked mackerel and herb pate starter, venison cottage pie topped with parmesan mash and a glass of white wine after. I didn't mind having lunch alone, lots of people to watch!
3. Charlotte is expecting a baby in April. Lovely news!!
I love a me-day and lunch on my own. Great you enjoyed yourself too! Inverness has a bit 'end of the world' feeling for me, after walking the cape wrathtrail it was so lovely to have pint in the pub
