Still feels early to have Christmas lounge in place .... one advantage of retirement I guess. My Thursday group were able to come for some inspiration and nibbles, just what I needed to declutter and dust and decorate the lounge and dining room.
I do love this phase of year as the gloom outdoors seems less significant when light and happy memories dance together indoors.
Three good things
1. Buzzing about all morning and laundry pile dealt with!
2. Catch up coffee with 3 former colleagues.
3. Sharing time on Thursdays makes a difference ....long term friendships are precious.
Lovely tree - the scene looks so homely for Christmas , we got the boxes down from the attic yesterday - but somehow haven't made much of an attempt to deck the house for Christmas -- perhaps today !
I so agree with your #3 GT…..I think we have much appreciated the joy the Christmas decorations give us after the gloom & doom all around us…..I love having mine up much earlier partly because our tree won’t wilt this year (sadly!) but the coziness & cheer it gives everyone.
