The local museum shared this photo of a very special visit to the Royal Burgh in 1964.... I think..The Provost of the town is there in his robes, and his granddaughter is presenting the flowers. Her sister was in my class and we were all watching from the other side of the road. I remember it well.
The provost was also the Rector of Tain Royal Academy where my Dad was a teacher.
