Love just being back at the house where I grew up. This is what we see from the upstairs hall window, the mirror image house across the road and the look out place when waiting for someone to arrive.
I moved in to No 3 when I was one year old, with my Mum and Dad..... just the three of us.... but it feels like it had elastic walls as so many people have stayed with us over the years.
A lovely homely feeling when we arrived for the weekend as my brother, who lives in the next street, had lit the fire, so it was very cosy.
Three good things
1. A good day for driving North.
2. Sister Kate arrived later and a lovely evening at a very special restaurant with a dear neighbour who was a bed friend to Mum and Dad.
3 . Love the big skies when up there.
Ah, what a lovely insight into your upbringing. I can feel the nostalgia emanating from your words. I love that the crows are keeping a watchful eye, too!
