😄😄 the bookcase is actually straight but just lying here I thought this was fun.
I think I might revisit these books.... they have been gathered/gifted over many years and I loved arranging them by colour 😄
Do you remember a book by colour? I can still recall books I had as a child by the colour of their covers......Brer Rabbit was a lovely rich dark red, a collection of stories was green. And another book was a gentle tangerine colour....I don't recall the title but I vividly remember some details of the story about a girl, a house, a garden which was a bit wild and overgrown, and a very small china doll which got lost in the long grass. Of course it was found at the end of the story. I do like happy endings!!
One of my rather superior university friends nearly choked at the very idea of arranging books by colour....but it works for me. He married a very good friend of mine so we are still in touch. I wonder if he remembers?
Three good things
1. Back to volunteering at NTS Pitmedden Garden today. So lovely being back in such a favourite space.
2. Two new gardeners on the team. A lovely guy who has such a friendly and reassuring manner, happy to share his knowledge and experience, and a quiet girl who was busy at ground level, clearing the edges of the par terre of winter debris, moss, leaves etc.
3. Afternoon treat with a lovely friend.... coffee, scones and macaron. Delicious.
