daffodil shelter

Under the sitting room window is a thick blanket of last autumn's leaves and each year I just leave them as they provide a cosy shelter for the daffodils to flourish! Won't be long till the yellow heads are dancing!

I like the light in this picture. I also like the layer of fallen leaves too, a real sense of new growth coming out of old. I can't wait to see lots of daffodils on 365!
