I had to share this today!
Book fair was on and one of my boys bought a book for his brother and wanted to wrap it up as a parcel for him.....so I found some red tissue paper and we chatted as he did a pretty good job!
A little while later I noticed Alice busy with my sellotape. I enquired.......
she wanted to make a parcel for her friend and had looked out the left over paper and was wrapping away with a slightly apprehensive look on her face!
'That's fine' I reassured her! 'What's inside?'
It was my French dictionary from one of our book boxes!! We had to laugh. She was being so kind and was so enjoying copying Steven!
She actually managed to get it upstairs to her friend, but we retrieved it later!!!! :)
The funny things are the simplest ones!
Sometimes the desire to be kind is so obvious in children and just needs to be nourished. Thank you for not telling her no and demanding the dictionary back right away.
