Walking back to town from an appointment I passed the Foresterhill Campus of Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
It had been a very wet morning and the trunks of the trees were rather striking.
I remember the hospital over 30 years ago - I visited my uncle each evening when he was in for a while - and was amazed at how the campus has grown beyond anything I could have imagined.
Thankfully my experience of Aberdeen Hospitals is all positive.....4 babies, one or two minor events, broken legs (boys being boys) and a short-lived crisis...quickly resolved ....and always fantastic care and not too many long waits!
