I went back to Aberdeen University for another lecture today - felt much more relaxed thankfully!
Though the lecture is still above my level of thinking I find it so fascinating to listen to and I think I get the drift! Even some of the others in the audience were finding it challenging but were smart enough to ask questions. I like people who are willing to admit they don't know it all ......they make the rest of us feel ok!
Clockwise from top left:
The King's College tower,
me with my camera,
The King's Museum (Scotland’s newest museum),
a replica stone in the museum,
The Lecture theatre,
Plaque with information about the opening of the centre - was opened in 1991 by Lord Mackay of Clashfern whose family were friendly with my grandparents over many years,
my cafe latte,
the ceiling of the lecture hall.
Lovely informative collage Sallie but was most interested in the fact that Lord Mackay opened this center. His daughter Ruth was our vet for years when we had cattle . She has a vets practice in Kirkham & we only left in the last year as she stopped doing large animals, we liked her very much.

How lovely making people connections like that! Don't we live in a small world. He's a lovely gentle person and yet made it to the top in politics! Could do with more like him!
@mrssmith The questions are sometimes more interesting than anything else! I really want to talk to the folk asking them but time and circumstances............. The lecturer is a lovely person though - we both arrived at the venue at the same time yesterday and she smiled and said 'hello' so warmly - it makes a difference!

Next time I will tell the guy who made it for me! He gave me one of these cards that gets you a free coffee after 6 cups so I just have to go back!
@sarah19 I always thought when seeing him on the TV what a genuine article he was. I always remember comparing him & Lord Irvine when they were Lord Chief Justice I think & Lord Mackay was really frugal & the other one spent a fortune on wallpaper..!
A good looking collage, and even though we may not always understand everything, you might be surprised at what we can learn. the mind is a great thing
