The building in the background is Wythenshawe Hall - a medieval timber-framed house, built around 1540. I spent the afternoon in the surrounding park, sitting in the spring sunshine (yay!), reading my book, and taking a few photos.
The sky looked better in the reflection in this pic, so I've flipped it over - so the black spots in the sky to the left are bits of grass and wood sticking up out of the water!
I really liked the shape of the tree, which seemed to be growing along the ground before turning upwards!
Sarah, I love these upside down reflections :) The sky looks rich and blue in the reflection. I wonder what the image would look like if you flipped it through another 90 degrees clockwise - I think that would be even more crazy !!
@karens68@cgould@zanettie@phil_howcroft Thank you, I'm pleased with how this came out, and the almost surreal effect of flipping it over - I think it's hard to see where the water's edge is when it's been flipped.
I am frustrated by that speck of black in the sky though!! lol
@rafaelseno Thank you - and thanks for the follow :o) .. I took the picture more of the reflection in the water than of the sky itself, and then used Picnik to do a bit of cropping, and to rotate it by 180 degrees. Glad you like it!
@dulciknit Thanks - the surface of the water was completely still, so it made for a very clear reflection (apart from the darned bits of grass .. grrrr lol)
