I've had a busy day today - Alexander Technique class, then a fantastic Anish Kapoor exhibition, then I went to give blood. Concentrating on taking a photo just at the moment the needle went in to my arm distracted me from tensing against it - so it was painless!
I take my hat off to people who can take really good, one-handed shots.... I can't! Good subject. I heard somewhere recently that someone has discovered that getting people to concentrate on watching an injection reduces the sensation of pain. Maybe we should all be encouraged to take pictures as well.
@dulciknit I've only got a little Canon point-and-shoot camera, so it's not too tricky to take one-handed shots! I hadn't heard about that research - it was interesting to realise I hadn't felt a thing today!
@sleepdozer57 hehehe .. yup, I had a hot chocolate and an orange club biscuit :o)
i donate blood, and i have to watch even though it kinda makes me feel a bit queesy.. nice cuppa and biscuits after though eh..

@annettea @chewyteeth Thanks for your comments - sorry if the needle unsettles you!
