In Annapolis, Maryland (USA) tonight at sundown and frustrated as the light was dimishing that I couldn't find the POV I wanted. In my frustration, I somehow remembered my late photography teacher, Jack Fletcher, when I worked at National Geographic saying not to simply take a picture, but to make the best photograph you can with the hand you are dealt.
The best part of tonight is not the outcome of this ok photograph, but remembering the wisdom of a great teacher and hopefully passing it on to others both in their photographic endeavors and in their everyday life. I am truly a better person In so many ways to have known him.
Gorgeous. FAV You definitely have your own style. I recognize your shots just by looking at them...never have to look at the name. They are exceptional, every one.
Definitely a lesson to be shared - Jack Fletcher would be proud - of you and your outstanding work. Your shots are consistently awesome - a style that is unique with colors that are beautiful. Fav
You've shown that you learned the lesson from your mentor well. Wonderful advice. This is a spectacular photo. The sun rays are lovely. The color and lighting are breathtaking. Instant fav!
