As I complete year three of Project 365, I have made the difficult decision to end my participation here at the end of this month. This is primarily for two reasons:
1. I haven't commented on others' photos in quite a while and it is simply unfair to each of you to continue in this manner.
2. Between work and personal life, there are increasingly too many things going on to dedicate time each day toward images I can feel good about.
Throughout my project, there are many of you that have continued to support me even though I have done little in return. For that, I am truly grateful to each of you!
So I will continue to upload a daily image through October 31st when I will somewhat sadly upload my last image on this site.
Congratulations Scott! A beautiful way to finish up year three! FAV! I understand fully what you are facing. I am teetering on the edge myself. Personally I will miss your challenging photos! I wish you well and hope some day things might slow down and will allow you to return!
This is a beauty - both the composing of the shot and the wonderful tones you brought him. I will miss seeing your shots - have always admired what you can do to daily life scenes - but know it must be a major time commitment. Do hope you'll post once in a while when something really catches you. Thanks for the beauty you've shared.
I am so sad... your photos are among my favorites here on 365! You will be sorely missed, and this image is another of my faves. I don't care if you comment on my photos ever... I just enjoy yours! Maybe you could post one occasionally just to keep in touch???
I have so enjoyed your work and you will be sorely missed. Do you, by chance, post anywhere else? I love even occasional postings when time, inspiration, or inclination allow ...
Oh dear I will be sorry about that Scott. Your photos are so distinctive I know them as soon as I scroll along. I understand why you are stopping as it is very time consuming & sometimes a pain! I only carry on sometimes because my family at the other side of the world rely on them so much. Thank you fie some gorgeous shots!
Stunning capture Scott and the more so that it was captured with a Galaxy Note phone but, as always, your processing has made it into something rather special. Very few leave 365 because they can't find find a daily image - it's the viewing and commenting that eats up the leisure hours. I admire the integrity of your decision.
I will miss you photos. I decided a while back not to play the if you comment on mine I will comment on yours game. I just go down my friends list to see who has posted a picture that day (if they post a weeks worth I see only the last one (saves me tons of time). I comment on the ones I like and skip the ones that do not appeal. That way I feel that I am enjoying looking at the pictures just before I go to bed and getting sort of chilled out. So honestly didn't notice you weren't commenting. But when I got down to yours I did look forward to seeing them and commented quite regularly. And fav'd.
Sniff! We are gonna miss you and I've only just started to witness your wonderful work...but I totally understand - struggling a bit myself if I'm honest.
Oh no!! I so enjoy your pics. But fully understand how it is. I struggle with the project regularly and had a 2 year break when I sickened myself. Another big fav in the meantime. Just love this image
Sad to read this, Scott. I haven't been around for quite a while - I find it hard to make the daily commitment so I understand. I really love your work - I will miss it immensely. I hope you will continue to take pics.
Aw don't leave entirely, just take a break. I did. I don't think it matters that you haven't commented on people's photos - at least not to me. Your photographs are gorgeous and stand out and I myself truly enjoy looking at them. I'm going to rummage through all your pics now :)
