Last Monday 25 7 2016

We do have winter now. Max 8 degrees C. Believe it, it is raining which is making it colder. I try and keep both Hubby and Stoffel the African Grey warm in front of a heater. What a job! Bad weather makes the day even more sad. Next week this time hubby will stay here no longer, but in the old age home. The day is coming nearer and nearer and the thought even more sad by the day.
A heartfelt fav for this poignant shot. So sorry to hear that your hubby will go next week to live in the home. I can only imagine what a great sadness it will be for you all. A small consolation that he will be looked after. Sending you all kind thoughts. Sylvia, take good care.

Such a sad photo. It must be a very difficult time for you both. I am a great believer though in the saying as one door closes another opens and I am sure there will be brightness ahead. Take care.

Don't call it the old age home - a nicer name is 'Care' which they really do get. It will be warm there and you will visit so that will be to look forward to! The parrot will miss him!

You've captured the emotion very well, but it wasn't until I read the tag that I wanted to cry. Thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time.
