Yes, that's right. There's a very low divorce rate amongst flamingos. In fact it's probably zero.
Haven't been down to the river for ages because it is so much cleaner and easier to handle 4 dogs walking the marina, but it felt good to be back on my old haunts again, and I could see the dogs loved all the new smells
@chamoisp I'm no expert, but I believe male and female flamingos have the same colouration. However, I understand that the colour develops with age due to caretenoids in their diet, so only mature flamingos display a pink colouration. In zoos I think they give them extra chemical caretenoids to make them red/pink, but our flamingos are feeding on algae (blue/green) as well as shrimp.
