Terrible photo but it represents a big day. I feel like I had a positive breakthrough with Max. I tried letting him off lead today on our walk, for the first time in about a year, and he was as good as gold. Didn't go far from me, and came back to me every time I called him. Was so good to give him positive reinforcement (lots of loves and cuddles every time he came back to me) for doing the right thing instead of being cross with him for doing the wrong thing. Charlie still has a way to go. When I let him off lead a week ago, I had to spend quarter of an hour retrieving him.
