I was becoming very discouraged and demotivated with my attempts at shooting Harriet. But I decided I hadn't exhausted all the options - still had some more reading, googling, and you-tubing to do so I must just knuckle down and do it. Today I'm finally feeling like I am getting somewhere using my flash to enhance dull lighting without it looking "flashed", so now I'm feeling motivated again! I think I might even have achieved Rembrandt lighting here with a triangle of light on her cheek!
@365anne Thanks very much for the comment, Anne. Her bald head doesn't do anything for her, but I felt the hat might cause confusing shadows now when I am trying to learn and observe the natural shadows
