Went to visit some friends in a nearby town today and see their new home. They have just retired and moved from Cape Town. This was shot on the way there. Didn't take any photos there - too busy talking and catching up with each other. Like yesterday's friends we met Mike & Ann through our daughters becoming friends when we first left Durban and came to Cape Town about 18 years ago. The girls have grown apart as they have grown up, but our adult friendship has stood the test of time
PS. That is salt pans between this farmland and the river just in front of the bunch of trees, and those little piles of white stuff are mounds of salt

I had to google that - but yes I think it is probably quite apt @777margo Yes Margo, we have just sand for soil so nothing really grows except the wildflowers or grass unless one makes plenty of compost. Also the underground water is slightly salty @narayani Yes, the sheep are a lot scruffier and dirtier than Annie-Sue's pristine white ones @bf2016 chop chop, I believe
