Have to start cleaning out my mother's cottage .... feel like I'm invading her space and privacy but even if she ever comes home again she is no longer capable of doing this stuff. Found a big bag of expired medications in the back of her cupboard so started separating the pills from the packaging. The packaging is bulky but can go in the recycle bag. Not yet sure how I must safely dispose of the pills!
this is it - you think they're coping with medication and they are not. We take unused pills back to our dispensing chemist/pharmacist. You don't want them entering the water supply or food chain.
@anniesue@julzmaioro Thank you. Yes, that is probably the best plan to take everything back to the pharmacy at the clinic and let them safely dispose of it. Glad I got a photo, but I don't want pill lying around at home in case anything falls on the floor and becomes a risk to the dogs.... so it is all safely packaged in a container. Even the supermarket bag they were in was risky because of the holes and loose pills inside it!
