Joe has been painting our house (and making a really good job of it). Every morning when he arrives Max and Charlie go crazy barking, so I was amused to see Joe settle down on the ground instead of one of the chairs near where he was painting to have a quick morning coffee and breakfast with Max! (Joe quoted us for the whole job, not per day of work, so he doesn't take long breaks).
@beckyk365 Yes, they seemed to be getting on famously! If Joe had time to chat to me, I'd probably find he actually likes animals but is not able to have his own? He is a Zimbabwean guy, so I immediately liked him just because of that (I am a Rhodesian girl so we have a common background and culture). I suspect his home and his family are back in Zimbabwe, and he is here in SA trying to earn money to send back home.
