Jeannette came to visit me in hospital with magazines, hand cream, talc sweeties .. and Lamb Chops to sit next to me to cheer me up. Was feeling a little lost and scared and alone without Don but I am being carried through on a wave of support from family and friends and help from unexpected places

Thank you. Was very sudden ...went to see urologist on Monday and he saw a tumour on bladder wall through the ultrasound. Insisted I needed to be in hospital the very next day to have it removed and sent for testing. Couldn't wait for next week when I could get a dog sitter. I had to make a plan. So it was a very stressful time for me. Doglets have taken some strain as a friend just came in at night to see to them. But it's at times like this I have discovered I have some amazing family and friends. And yes, tumour was malignant, but they do feel they have removed all of it. So now I am home for recovery time, and then a follow up examination in December. From now onwards I am registered as an oncology patient and will, in Dr. Rabe's words, become "one of his flock"
A shock to hear this, Desi - but hopefully the surgeon has got it all. And so pleased found out how willing and ready people are to support you. And … this is a lovely little sheepy companion for you.
Oh Desi! What a shock! So sorry to hear this but it sounds like the surgery was a success and that you have a good doctor. And a wonderful group of friends for support. Heal fast xx
So sorry to read this Desi, at least it was noticed early enough and removed. Will be thinking of you and sending positive healing thoughts your way for a speedy recovery.
