My granny's old scale which I love even though it is terribly rusty now and some delicious grapes and cheese

@narayani I have no idea how to safely clean the rust off without ruining everything. The weights I have are all pounds and ounzes but it would still work perfectly for modern times if I found some kilogram weights.

Well worth keeping it, and use it for this beautiful still life. I personally love the old charme.

@seacreature We have a product here called CLR which would probably do it - but the rust is what makes it so lovely!

@mona65 Thank you. I like the charm of the rust but would just like to make the pan a little better - when I use this scale to measure out flour or something like that for a cake I always put the pan into a plastic bag to make it hygienic to use

@narayani Thank you. I will investigate dealing with some of the rust on the old pan - but I am worried I might end up making it worse?

@meotzi Thank you. Yes the scale works perfectly. I am not sure that my weights are 100% accurate any longer as they are also quite rusty, but it is good enough to weigh ingredients for baking etc. The weights are from 2lb down to 1/2 oz
