We spent our last night just outside the Kruger Park at a lodge on the banks of the Crocodile River which forms the southernmost border of Kruger Park, after driving around game viewing until gate closing time of 6:30pm. Breakfast this morning was on the deck of the lodge where we stayed. A lone buffalo lies on the bank of the Crocodile River on the other side, inside the Kruger Park.
@narayani@lynnz@ludwigsdiana Thank you for the comments. It was a lovely breakfast view. I am sure the buffalo would know when to move away :). It did actually get up for a while and walk around, then lay down again. As they are normally herd animals I wondered if perhaps this was an old fellow left behind by the herd??? But I have to admit ignorance about their natural behaviour so I might be completely wrong
@johnfalconer Haha. No ways. Not in the river. It is not called the Crocodile River for nothing. And hippos. Not to mention other wild animals such as buffalo or lion coming to the banks to drink...
