Has Valentine's day become over commercialised, a marketeer's dream? I can hear them say, "wow, a day in the middle of February when I can sell more chocolates, cards, champagne, flowers....."
Why spend money when you can simply tell someone that you love them? That doesn't need a strategy, fancy packaging, an inflated price point, it just needs you to look someone in the eye and tell them.
Now, I must dash. Got to go to the shops and buy flowers, champagne and chocolates, just in case my views aren't shared by my wife!
Really interesting processing on this! And I love your narrative. I worked for a major greeting card company for years but I always tell my husband...skip the card and get right to the chocolate!
@shecooks26@annbo@lagerdalek@reva@kalexa@debsphotos@myautofocuslife Thanks everyone, glad you all smiled! The original shot was a heart made of rose petals on a piece of pink card. Then in CS5 I tweaked the levels to improve the vibrance, and then I processed it through filters/distort/wave and took the square option. You have to play around with the no of generators, wavelenghths etc.
Fun processing! And your comments are so so true... It's grand to celebrate love, but some people take the P - saw a fairly normal bunch of roses for sale at Canary Wharf yesterday for £150!
