This is the shot that I had planned for yesterday before the forecast sunset turned cloudy.
This is the sun setting on a bitterly cold evening over Normanton Hills, near my home village of East Leake.
I had a couple of alternatives, which were difficult to choose between. I took various shots over a 30 minute period, during which time the sky changed colour many times. I will pop the other two in my other albums in the morning.
@debsulzberger Thank you so much Deb, the greatest accolade I can ever be given for a photo is that someone thinks it is good enough to hang on a wall, so you have just made me beam from ear to ear.
This is really beautiful Sean. I'm so glad you went back to catch the sunset - it was so very worth it. Looking forward to seeing the other two in your other albums tomorrow.
@danacarruthers@myautofocuslife Thank you both for your lovely comments, it was freezing up there but I am very pleased with the shot and the gap in the clouds!!
This is gorgeous.I love how the sun highlights the shape of the gate and the band of yellow across the photo separates the silhouette in the lower end and the almost purple sky detail.
@cccoupland@sailingmusic@photos222@sgoodin1@esolvideosuk Thank you all so much. Sometimes when you take a shot, you know you've got a good 'un.. That is how I felt when I took this, so I am delighted that you all think so too.
