Wash out

There has been a lot spoken about the summers being enjoyed on both ides of the Atlantic. It seems that neither is what we would have wished for.

Yesterday, my 5 times postponed District Cup Final was decided by the toss of a coin. We won! Now we are in a County Semi Final this week, weather permitting!

So far this summer, the two kids cricket teams I manage have had 19 cancellations due to weather and played 12 games. The irony of this sign at our local cricket club has always made me smile!! How apt it has been this summer.

I took the shot this morning when I popped down to collect a match ball for a game scheduled this evening, that will almost certainly not go ahead!
