Vase with flowers

The weather here today has been one of those days where you can't tell where the land finishes and the sky starts!

So, I abandoned ideas of one of my landscape locations in the snow and shot a vase of flowers from our kitchen, then played about wth it a little!! This is one single shot, processed as a negative, with a little dodge to the flowers to create some white light.

Thank you all for the great comments on my Power Station shots yesterday, much appreciated.
I really like this .... great processing :)

@fannyb Awww Fanny, you are lovelier than a lovely thing to quote my noble Lord Blackadder. It was lit from the side to create the shadow, I just turned it into a negative to create the fabulous background in Curves. Piece de gateau!!

I like how the shadow has become a beam of light seemingly shining out from beneath the vase. Good colour too.
