Off we went to Wigan to see our team, Southampton. My two nephews Matthew and Jono came with us.
Once again we played brilliantly and deserved to win the game. We went 2 goal to 1 ahead with 5 minutes to go, and once again we let a late goal in to have victory snatched from us!!
I have been watching Southampton for 40 years, and I have lost count of the number of times this has happened. I am starting to take it personally.
Here is a shot of the stadium as it empties after the game, and 3000+ Southampton fans who made the long trek north head for home thinking about another Groundhog Day.
The 5 of us had a wonderful day out watching the game, and a great long lunch in Pizza Hut before the game.
Does it happen when you are not there Sean? I find crowds difficult these day - hard to believe I was Nottingham Forest season ticket holder years ago - but I might be able to cope with crowds like this!
