Power Station from M1 Motorway ~ Cloud making machines
We've enjoyed a wonderful walk up in the Peak District today, in glorious weather.
A lot of shots to follow from our walk in the next few days, but I also took this one for the monomarch13 challenge of our local power station from the passenger window whilst travelling down the M1.
I will post a couple of others including a colour shot later this evening. I need to get round to some friends for the evening!
Fav! I love how the station seems so miniature and so isolated from it's surroundings...has a very unreal feel, the smoke is of course fantastic. Brilliant Sean, and from a speeding passenger seat!!!!! I want to see this top 20!
Hi Sean! Just trying to catch up with everyone and everything after my holiday..... this grabbed me, I can see how it has got so many favs! Have added to them! Love the moody and isolated feel of this, and the smoke is brilliant, especially as it is taken from a moving car!
Oh, instant memories! When I moved to London and went back to visit my parents in Mansfield I knew I was nearly home when I saw this! (Assuming it is the one at Ratcliffe on Soar - if not I'll just shuffle away quietly!)
Keeping you company. . .uh, NOT. . .when I make it, I always seem to squeak in near the bottom, but don't care a bit!! Always an honor to be there with you real talents. BRAVO on #4, sir.
Woo hoo!!! #4 - awesome, Sean. I think you said in a post that I was one of the first people to fav one of your photos, which I take as incredibly hard to believe, but also a high honor! :) You're FANTASTIC!
Fav because of your dramatic view...Love it !
And a fav
It is a powerful image
Congratulations on the pp :)
