Taken at Cheltenham last year. The scrum to place bets, while the bookies are all touting for business shouting "Gi'mee a name"
Today is the best days racing of the year, with the Champion Hurdle a little later, the Supreme Novices and The Arkle.
This time last year I was busy getting rather the worse for wear with my good friend Vince, this year it is watching on the TV as I'm too busy to go.
I managed to find the 7/1 winner of the first race, the beautifully named Champagne Fever, backed him at 7s this morning, he won at 5's. That won me a free bet on the next, and I think that horse may finish sometime next week!!
Had a punt on a couple of lively outsiders in the next, which goes off in a few minutes.
@kwind 60,000 people there Kim. It is bonkers, I so wish I was there today!! Have got the cinema surround on the TV switched on, it sounds like they are galloping through my lounge!!
To me you have captured not the excitement but the pointlessness and humdrum of betting. Especially with the black ominous clouds!! I love it. Black and white makes it!
love the hustle and bustle in this..really aware of the atmosphere, what an exciting shot, I want to go racing again, haven't been in years........fabulous
I think you would have been colder this year Sean but not quite the same at home...no atmosphere ! Love the way you have caught the excitement of the betting.... hope you get to the races again soon!
The tilt in this is great too
