Ben is back at school today, a week after his pioneering heart operation! I am so grateful to our consultant, doctors and the nursing staff at Glenfield Hospital, and to all those who have suppported us, friends, family and colleagues.
Ben, is an inspiration for the grace with which he deals with his heart condition and all that it throws at him. A real life hero.
This is a shot from our trip to Newark on our recent holiday. We enjoyed a cold but photographically rewarding stroll around this lovely old market town.
I spent all morning at the opticians trying to convince them that the new glasses they supplied me are not right. After 3 hours of discussions and tests they confirmed what my eyes have been telling me, that all is not well. resulting in 2 new pairs of glasses for distance and computer work being ordered for me, with a new prescription!
I took a few photos in Loughborough, but need to go back to the location for more to complete the set, hence posting from a few weeks ago instead.
I'm glad to hear good news regarding your son. Children are amazing when it comes to dealing with life's challenges. I love this candid shot. The processing is fabulous.
Love this, Sean. I just ordered new glasses, too. Way overdue as it had been years. I was also told I need something cut off my eye. Eeek. It's mainly just cosmetic, but I think it annoys my contacts when I wear them. Great news about Ben.
Great news Sean...he must be careful not to over do himself though....you will have to keep a look out!
Love the textures in the cobbles, wall & her jacket......perfect in b/w.
Lovely image. Known friends who have received care at glenfields. Glad your son is doing so well and lovely to have your inspiring images again. Our two sons are called the same as yours.
A sign very familiar to me, as you say, Newark has some great buildings particularly in the local red brick, I really like some of the old wharf buildings near the Trent, and not forgetting the remains of the castle.
Great candid - it has a charm about it, I think. I love the composition, textures and processing too.
Wonderful news about Ben, he is indeed a young man to be proud of.
Why should opticians take so much convincing - they're your eyes, you know when things aren't right! Grrrr!
