I have some shots from Lincoln and our visit to Tate Modern last year that I will move onto next.
Meanwhile, I had some good news yesterday. One of the reasons I have been mssing from 365 is that I have been working on a few big business projects. One of these involves a bit of study and exams. I sat an exam last week and have been told I scored 95%, which is a pass! A lot more to go, but I am delighted with this.
Sam and Ben have also had mock A level and GCSE exams this last 2 weeks. We are waiting for Ben's results, but Sam go A star, A and B in his. So, some room for improvement with the B, but he knows what he needs to do. Well done Sam!
You've captured the light beautifully here. Well done to everyone in their exams. I seem to have done nothing but mark exams for the last week so I am sure that we will all be glad to see the end of them for a couple of months.
@jantan It is hard enough thi send Jan, you're on your own there. Now if you'd asked me to do something easier, like deliver world peace.....I started telling my kids a couple of years ago that they needed to start taking responsibility for delivering against their potential, it seems to be working.
Oh well, it was worth a try. I think that my best bet would be to just stop believing the platitudes, and then I will maybe stop being disappointed when they aren't delivered upon! To be fair tho, he is doing a bit more work than he was last year, but certainly not enough to do the course he wants (engineering) if you ask me.
@jantan You can't do it for them can you? Ours have their moments too. Sam is looking like he will get AAA at A level, but he messed up a translation paper in his mock and got a B. HE felt very sorry for himself and it was tricky to get he balance between arm round shoulder and kick up a*se last week!!

Congrats on the good news, Sean! I like the composition a lot - it is very compelling with the light, lines and shadows. I keep going back to it for another look.
