Great reflexes Constance. It amazes me at how a single finger is seen as so offensive. When you stop and think about it, it's kind of silly. At my son's daycare they had a statue of a hand doing the peace sign. A parent knocked it over and the pointer finger broke off. Never realized how drastic the meaning changes when you take away a finger :).

Did you happen to read this story about one of the kids who was beat to death downtown. It's kinda long but easy reading. A very tragic story which gives an interesting look into the subculture of the homeless kids downtown.
