Super... we have a hazelwood (?) in our garden, way to big, 6 meters high i guess... every year full with hazelnuts but never seen such beautiful flower in it...
I saw my first plant of this several years ago and didn't know what it was - had to google it. Think it's too cold yet for it to bloom here - sure is a pretty shot of it and love the strong color.
I don't think I've ever seen a *witch* hazel bloom - how pretty! The flowers of other hazels are yellow-orange, so the pink is particularly striking. Lovely capture.
I think your wood has different trees if they have hazelnuts on them. This is a witch hazel aka hamamelis.
