Setting up the market

I took a number of shots at Whitechapel Market on Friday looking for opportunities for the artist challenge - http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/21428/artist-challenge-david-hoffman - I originally put this is in extras because although the subject fits with several of Hoffman's topics, the processing is atypical as I used Luminance to bring these guys into the foreground. They were moving and I was focussing on the second guy's face as more interesting. There's a straight shot in extras http://365project.org/shannejw/extras/2014-03-07 and I may add the other shots I loaded to Flickr. I prefer this one on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/12323897@N04/13007753093

Thank you for looking and taking my silhouetted commuters to the PP. You're all superstars.

(Edited to add, December 2018, that this series of shots was used in a magazine discussion Whitechapel market.)

Great street shot and I love the composition. I agree with you about Flickr - the processing looks much better on there for some reason.

I really like this one! The juxtaposition of the faces is awesome... one just going through the motions... the other in the moment! Great story told...even without the explanation. Fav!
