There for Measure for Measure on Tuesday with a disaffected reluctant student, who was threatening to walk out at the first opportunity on the way in. It was his first trip to the theatre. He came out saying it was "half decent" and he liked, paraphrasing, the comedic characters but the main characters went on too much, which felt like a brilliant result. I know, but he could identify characters he did and didn't like, which means he had paid enough attention to know what was going on, and he'd stayed in for the entire performance. Those long monologues and speeches aren't great to follow.
We were sitting up in the galleries, first floor - this was the view from our seats.
Tuesday 23 June
what a grand theater...regardless of who was performing I would be sitting(in AWE) gazing at all the delightful architectural finishes to be viewed...great shot
