These came from a pot of mixed berries I bought from the reduced counter for 50p, otherwise I would not have had strawberries out of season to give me red for the rainbow challenge. (The same pot contained blueberries, which were also photographed and may appear later in the week.)
Three good things:
1. lovely practice nurse when I went in for my asthma check - couldn't do the check, but was so nice about it;
2. Managed to avoid the rain storms when outside doing various things
3. finally finished off the dream catcher I put together to make sure I know how to do them for Guides this week (it needed the feathers and beads)
Thank you for looking and your lovely comments and favs. I prefer to spend time looking at your photos rather than thanking you individually below.)
Great shot. Crazy, but the last three photos I've looked at have all been food. I think some evil force is out there making me want to eat, and as a T-1 diabetic, that's not a good thing!
@olivetreeann the strawberry variety that was introduced over here as a big berry with good yield, Elsanta, is not popular. So much so that punnets are labelled now and I'll buy anything other than Elsanta, because they may be big and pretty, but as far as I'm concerned they are tasteless We tend to go for smaller tastier fruit - the wild fruit are tiny. Supermarkets even sell punnets of the smaller misshapen fruit and they sell well - I'll buy them in preference. .
'Tasteless' can be applied to so many fruits that have travelled thousands of miles from where they were grown and then languished in the supermarkets' distribution systems. The climate costs of the transportation isn't the only reason I don't buy them... even for a photograph!
