This is wool is for a UFO, an unfinished object, recently bought in the hope that I can finish off this afghan/comforter/blanket made up of crocheted granny squares in variegated wools in main shades of dark cream/brown, turquoise and navy - but I couldn't find any more navy at the right weight so ended up with this variegated wool with additional purple, for the Rainbow Challenge and because it's there, the macro challenge and the six word story challenge
1. I have embroidered snowflakes on my daughter's newly created top - a sweatshirt remade to fit her better, using a children's pattern and remaking a sweatshirt that didn't fit so well and a sale item - finishing that off;
2. Sorted out some of the latest donated stash seeing what could be used, if anything;
3. I didn't get drenched the way I would have had I headed out when I wanted to
Thank you for looking and your lovely comments and faves, you're all superstars. I prefer to look at your pictures rather than thank you individually below
You are so crafty! And I love the use of the acronym UFO - I must remember that... I have lots of UFOs but I’m not very crafty... every once in a while I think I should take up watching tv and knitting, so I buy yarn and needles... but I get bored of both pretty quickly... (although I do spend stupid amounts of time surfing around on YouTube which pretty much amounts to the same thing)
@northy the dressmaking is pretty much a necessity - I am finding it difficult to find clothes to fit, other than those sold for pre-teen boys, which are fine for jeans, not so much for t-shirts or anything else.
All my UFO's are in the attic so that I don't have to see them and therefore deal with them! Yes, it's a cop out! Good for you that you're getting some of yours done. I like the colors of this although I've never been a huge fan of purple. It looks really nice with the blue though.
You really are extremely versatile with your challenges! Lovely yarn:)
For your Get Pushed, how do you feel about attempting a faux IR photo effect? I initially used this link: https://medialoot.com/blog/how-to-make-a-fake-color-infrared-effect-in-photoshop/
and got really addicted to IR as a result. I don't know if you use Photoshop or GIMP. If this doesn't appeal or doesn't look as if it will work for you because of post processing, how about the alternative of slow shutter speeds?
@fbailey I like the thought of having a go, but am not sure how I'll fit an infrared in rainbow month - I've only got one album - slow shutter speed is easy enough - did it for the movement shot.
@northy those of us who knit find commuting is a great opportunity, or crochet. I've done quite a bit in the past, but both currently on the go are UFOs. One needs me to design a pattern so I know what I'm knitting, this one I ran out of blue wool and couldn't find any more.
Love the yarn colours. Useful hobby. - Knitting sewing and a bit o crochet many years ago. (I liked the fact that is was something you could do whilst watching tv).

Love this macro.
