I'm being nicer to the paperclip people than the poor mannequin. Tuesday is orange for the Rainbow Challenge and I'm playing with paperclips because the Dogwood 52 week challenge is focused on trash this week - with a sweet wrapper veil and scrap paper book.
Three good things
1. Sorted out one of my daughter's tops, the ones she doesn't wear, fixed the short sleeves on one today and have a plan for another
2. Cobblers will mend my daughter's boots at reasonable cost
3. Scored a lot of reduced fruit and veg in Tesco's this evening
Thank you for looking and the amazing response to the paperclip engagement yesterday. You're all superstars. I prefer to spend time looking at your photos rather than thanking you individually below.
I love the idea and the really evocative shapes you've achieved with the paperclips. If I'm being brutally honest I'm less fond of the dark orange veil. Think I would have preferred a clear one. But then maybe I'm just hopelessly traditional when it comes to weddings.
@gardencat to be honest, if I'd had orange paperclips, I'd have found some of my patterned white on clear cellophane scraps to make the veil, but I was trying to make an orange image - and I've been using this month to push me into different techniques and ideas.
these paper clips are fast workers. proposal yesterday, wedding today. by the time the week is over they might have great grandchildren the way they're going! :-D aces!
Can't wait to see how the week unfolds :)
