Henry is my downstairs neighbour and escaped today. He is looking mischievous here as he was evading recapture and had been for an hour by this stage.
We had a power cut for an hour plus across this area after a high power underground mains cable failed. Most of us realised it was a power cut, and found something else to do, but another neighbour panicked and hassled Henry's owner, during which time Henry took advantage of the situation to run outside and refuse to come back. My direct next door neighbour got caught up when she took out her recycling. We got involved when we wandered downstairs to go up to the shops and take my daughter out for her daily expedition, whereupon we found Henry, his owner and my neighbour trying to catch him.
I didn't just take pictures of him, I did help and was the one to catch him and return him to his owner's arms.
Three good things:
1. Henry did come to me and consent to be caught - after a bit of running around;
2. My daughter was up to a long wander around the town (with the lower dose of steroid)
3. We scored a reduced price gluten free coffee and walnut cake on our wanders.
Thank for looking, your faves and comments, you're all wonderful. I prefer to spend time looking at your pictures rather than thanking you individually below.
He looks very mischievous in this shot. He must have had such a buzz teasing all the neighbours until he got caught and instead of being spanked getting hugs and kisses.
