Bees on borage by shannejw

Bees on borage

I wandered down to the local nature reserve in the evening in the hope of finding the dragonflies again, but it was probably a bit late, so tried capturing bees in flight on the borage field. Borage is the most amazingly hairy plant.

Three good things:
1. Cleared the bin store/bike shed floor from the leaf mould after asking the gardeners to take away the cleared scrub (on Wednesday)
2. Two wanders out with my daughter round town.
3. Gloriously sunny day, although windy and cool;

Thank you for looking and your amazing support for the Painted Lady butterfly. I am still catching up, slowly and will look at your pictures if you post below rather than thank you individually.
I like the alliteration in the title! And all that fluff on the bee and the plant

Used to have this in my garden. Pretty blue flowers and, If I remember correctly it smelled like cucumber if you broke one of the branches, and yes, very hairy!

I'm happy to see there are bees yet somewhere in this world. Lovin' the hairy-ness of this plant!
