When I participated in the Empire State Building Run-Up on Tuesday, I was issued one guest pass. That pass went to my husband.
Guests were not allowed into the stairwells or up on the Observatory, but they were permitted access to the 61st Floor. After the race, the participants went down to the 61st floor for baggage claim, the changing area and refreshments, and to re-unite with their guests.
This isn't the most artistic shot I've ever taken, but I thought that this was a unique object worth commemorating in a photograph.
