I bought my macro lens for the spring blossoms, but they're not quite ready to bloom just yet.
In the meantime, I was taking some test shots yesterday, and was having fun getting up close with items on my desk. This was one of the objects, and I decided to make it my subject for today's shot.
In 2007 we visited Switzerland with the kids. One of our favorite stops on the trip was the Museum of Games in Vevey - http://www.museedujeu.com/web/ We bought some souvenirs there, including this item. It's a six-sided die, but it spins like a dreidl (top). My only regret is that I didn't buy two of them, because it would be fun to have a pair for dice games.
