The Temporary Connection

We're having some work done on the yard - laying down sprinkler lines and replacing the old grass with sod. It's a major project.

Last week, when my husband was out of town on business, the crew arrived unannounced to start the project. It was already pretty manic around here, and the mania was only made worse when the workers severed my FiOS line, cutting off my telephone, television and Internet. To say that I wasn't a happy camper is a gross understatement.

The next day, Verizon re-connected us with a temporary connection. At some point they have to come back and put in a new line. The sprinkler work can continue, but we're not going to let they lay down the sod until the utility work is done.

The landscaper blames Verizon for not burying the line deep enough. Verizon blames the landscaper for digging before the utility flags were put down. I'm basically ticked off at all of them.

No fun! Let the finger pointing end and just fix it I say!

You say it Bill and it is done - Verizon came this morning and (very quickly and efficiently) buried a new permanent connection.

Kerri - thanks :)
